Web Storefronts
A Web Storefront is a Web site hosted securely by FastSpring for the purpose of displaying your product information and allowing customers to purchase your products. You can have as many Web Storefronts as you need in each Store, and you can optionally customize each Web Storefront to look and feel differently to the others.
Important notes about Web Storefronts
Each Web Storefront consists of several pages, though not all customers will see every page in the Storefront, depending on how they interact with the Storefront. The most commonly used pages in a Web Storefront include:
- The Home Page, where your products are listed. Cross-sells, up-sells and product offers may be instantly displayed in-line once an item has been selected by clicking its “buy” button.
- The Product Page, to which you can optionally link directly from your Web site. If you provide product details and images on your Web site, you may choose to link directly to the Product Page of your Web Storefront rather than the Home Page. The Product Page doesn’t list all of your products; only the one specific product and any cross-sells, up-sells or product options applicable. Customers who click a link to a Product Page will have the chosen product already selected for purchase, so there’s no need to click the product’s “buy” button and they can proceed directly to payment.
- The Payment Information popup window, in which the customer enters payment details such as name, e-mail address, and credit card details.
- The Completion Page, where the order reference, your after-purchase instructions, and optionally any fulfillment information will be displayed to the customer upon completion of a successful purchase.
